Fan Culture


The fanculture associated with Manga is a bit complicated, and that is quite an understatement, it varies from many categories but for the sake of brevity we will cover three aspects: Otaku, Cosplay, and Merchandising.

The term otaku is thrown around quite liberally in the Anime/Manga Fan culture. Even if its origins did come from a friendly and proud origin, the term was tainted by the mass
